One thing and only one thing (for now) that astronomers, astrologers, geologists, sailors, poets, weatherpersons, fishermen, doctors, nurses and psychiatrists can seem to agree upon, the Moon and Her amazing influences in nature and on human behavior.
In astrology, as women, we are ruled by the Moon, which represents our emotions and feelings. With it, is the receptivity of others’ emotions as well, the reason why intuition is far more stronger in women than in men. As Wise Women, we have the power to capture Her magnificence and apply it into our daily life. To begin with, we have a new moon, a time for starting new projects, then two weeks after, we have a full moon, a good time to expect fruition then release those that are no longer beneficial to the project.
So, here we go…
New Moon in Leo
July 24th, 2006, 9:31 pm, PDT
Happy New Moon in Leo Everyone!
Celebration time, folks! New moon in Leo urges us to go out, bask in the sun, fluff the hair, and loosen up those creaking elbows and knees. It’s time to get back into the limelight, lift up your head, be at center stage, and show off those few pounds you’ve lost due to the scorching heat in the last few days- at least where I live in Southern California. Personal confidence, flamboyance, and magnetism are on the rise - take action on it with great pride! With both the sun and moon joining together, there’s an instant gratification of what life is all about. For some of us individuals (the later baby boomers generation) experiencing the Saturn/Mars/Pluto in Leo’s unrelenting ‘pounding’ on discipline, it sure has not been a picnic in the last year and a half. This is an opportune time to slowly get up, shake the dust off your wounded knees, and start to turn the table around. Go out and don’t hide anymore!
In terms of personal fulfillment, Mars, the planet of animal magnetism ( ahem..), has just moved into the sign of Virgo, the “fuss-budget” sign, on July 22nd. Now what?!! Okay, you still can go out on a date but do it Dutch treat… we all work for a living, after all. Or stay home, enjoy a vegetarian pizza and ice tea, maybe rent a video of a romantic movie for now instead of going to a concert. It doesn’t sound so bad, does it? This is not a good time to show off the bulge of your wallet, but to demonstrate your ability to take care of your financial obligations. By the first week of August when Mercury goes on direct motion, we should be breathing a fresher air - minus the visible kind, I hope.
Have a Blessed New Moon!
Prayer*: I, _____________, am thankful for all the goodness I now receive. Blessed are the earth, the sky and the seas. Blessed are the light and dark, day and night, birds, beasts and me. Allow me to use every single day of my life to affirm the Light and Love that shines through me. So Mote It Be!
