One thing and only one thing (for now) that astronomers, astrologers, geologists, sailors, poets, weatherpersons, fishermen, doctors, nurses and psychiatrists can seem to agree upon, the Moon and Her amazing influences in nature and on human behavior.
In astrology, as women, we are ruled by the Moon, which represents our emotions and feelings. With it, is the receptivity of others’ emotions as well, the reason why intuition is far more stronger in women than in men. As Wise Women, we have the power to capture Her magnificence and apply it into our daily life. To begin with, we have a new moon, a time for starting new projects, then two weeks after, we have a full moon, a good time to expect fruition then release those that are no longer beneficial to the project.
So, here we go…
New Moon in Scorpio
November 1st 2005, 5:25 am PST
New Moon in Scorpio around Halloween is just what I would call the “special order” delivered right at the perfect time. Scorpio, is the mystery sign in the zodiac. It represents death and regeneration. One thing that must be mentioned is that this is the only sign that was given three symbols: the Scorpion, the lowest symbol, that stings himself to death, the Eagle, the bird that can fly closer to the Sun (spirit), and the Phoenix, the bird resurrected from the ashes of the dead self.
When the moon and the sun ( new moon) are both in the sign of Scorpio, there is strong awareness in the importance of living a meaningful life. For that to manifest, we are being challenged to release and let go those self-imposed hindrances and obstacles. With the Sun square Saturn, there can be some disappointing events that will call for a compromise or even a sacrifice for the good of all. Now is the time to cautiously plan for the future, one that affirms your strength, one that teaches you to acknowledge even the smallest successes. That’s the key to resurrection! Happy New Moon in Scorpio!
